Next Neighbourhoods 2021: Forùm, Barcelona, Spain
Located at the mouth of the River Besòs on Barcelona’s north-east coast, the area forms a key part of the city’s future Urban Plan. This will see the seafront from the Forùm to Badalona revitalised on the back of the Marina Port Forùm project and the Tres Xemeneies (Three Chimneys) cultural project, creating a new neighbourhood within ten minutes of the city centre.

Why is it primed for growth?
The area is set to see significant regeneration with a new €200 million Hard Rock Hotel due to open in 2022. Located adjacent to the Forùm beach and marina the area is also served by the Parc del Forùm and Parc de la Pau, both venues for large music events and festivals.
My favourite bits:
Cycling from Barcelona to Badalona along the beach, crossing the delta of the River Besòs.
What will my money buy me?
Expect to pay anywhere from €700,000 to €900,000 for a prime waterfront apartment with views across the Mediterranean, rising to €5 million for a duplex apartment with stunning views of the beach, the Barcelona skyline and mountains.
One thing the locals like to keep secret:
Rent a boat in Marina Port Forùm and stop off for paella in one of the marina’s many restaurants.
