Describe the area
This low-density residential suburb is about 18km north of Harare’s city centre. Surrounded by steep hillsides covered by Msasa trees, Borrowdale Brooke offers modern mansions, a plush shopping area, a mega church and the famous Borrowdale Race Course.
Why is the area up and coming?
Initially carved out for farmland, Borrowdale Brooke is fast becoming the desirable location for Zimbabwe’s new generation of wealthy individuals.
My favourite bits
The hilly slopes and breathtaking views are ideal for a drive. The golf course and the shopping area are also great places to spend a few hours and unwind.
Who’s buying?
Buyers at Borrowdale largely consist of Zimbabwean HNWIs, including politicians, businesspeople and celebrities attracted by its tranquillity, privacy and 24-hour security.
What will my money buy me?
A five-bedroom house with a garden, facing the golf course, will cost approximately US$1 million.
