Why is the area up and coming?
From 1846 until the end of the 20th century, St. Marx was best known as the home of Vienna’s main slaughterhouse and livestock market. Today, the district is an important inner-city development area with a huge residential and office development pipeline. The Wiener Prater (one of the biggest parks in Vienna) is also nearby, and provides a huge green recreation area.
My favourite bits
The TrIIIple skyscrapers which have beautiful new waterfront areas where you can enjoy a coffee or a meal.
Who’s buying?
Mostly domestic buyers, but the new residential skyscraper area attracts a diverse mix of international buyers already familiar with this type of investment.
What will my money buy me?
A two-bedroom apartment at TrIIIple will cost about €350,000. Budget about €1.7 million for a five-bedroom penthouse.
