Why is it primed for growth?
Located at the western fringe of Kuala Lumpur, Desa ParkCity enjoys easy access to the city centre and other suburbs via a well-connected network of roads and expressways.
Its ongoing appeal to both locals and expats is reflected in the fact that prices have been trending upwards since the development was first launched back in 2002.
At its heart is the 13.9-acre Central Park with tree-lined jogging tracks and pathways surrounding a 6.34-acre recreational lake. Amenities include shopping and dining at The Waterfront and Plaza Arkadia, alongside a private international school, sports centre and medical centre.
My favourite bits:
Head to The Waterfront and Plaza Arkadia for myriad al fresco dining options overlooking the lake. Try the aromatic crispy duck at The Social café/bar/restaurant.
What will my money buy me?
Newly-launched two- to four-bedroom condominiums within the neighbourhood, ranging from 1,100 sq ft to 4,050 sq ft, are priced between M$900,000 and M$2.2 million.
One thing the locals like to keep secret:
Residents claim that there are a pair of eagles guarding over Desa ParkCity. One for the birdwatchers!
