Though perhaps not to the same scale, it’s likely that large infrastructure projects will become a staple for this government, though mega-projects, such as a third runway at Heathrow, are coming under increasing scrutiny from climate campaigners who are challenging them via the courts.

Land, property and business owners will be affected by projects and, as a result, are likely to be entitled to compensation. When a threat to your property becomes apparent, take the time and seek advice to establish a strategy for compensation.

If you were not planning to sell immediately, any threat should not push you to sell. Large projects take many years to reach the construction phase. In the meantime, don’t give up on maintenance and updating.
