The South East's offering to businesses has undergone huge transformation since the opening of the M25 motorway in 1986. New markets have quickly developed through both improved accessibility, and public and private enterprise. Whilst economic conditions, the business environment and market trends have created peaks and troughs, infrastructure has proved the long-term catalyst for growth. With the South East, still the principal focus of the most ambitious infrastructure projects in the UK, the trend of infrastructure initiating market evolution is set to continue.
