The European Lifestyle Report 2024
To understand the key drivers behind relocating, The Knight Frank Research Team has taken a deep dive into what’s driving prime housing demand amongst wealthy expats in Europe. The European Lifestyle Report 2024 provides fascinating insights into property trends, lifestyle, tax and policy shifts. By gathering the perspectives of over 700 high net worth individuals (HNWIs) from 11 different countries, this report offers a unique glimpse into their motivations, preferences and attitudes.
“Geopolitical tensions and policy changes are driving HNWIs to relocate to more favourable jurisdictions,” reveals Kate Everett-Allen, Head of European Residential Research at Knight Frank. “Changes in market conditions, tax incentives, visa options, and lifestyle improvements can also drive relocation decisions among the wealthy,” she adds.
People are prioritising security and privacy, and looking for locations to ensure this. Increasingly, global mobility is a possibility. Factors including remote working and the ability to apply for alternative passports and/or citizenship, make the option of living in another country a real option.
