December 23, 2022

Knight Frank has advised Learn 2 Live Youth Clinic Ltd, a company which provides specialist residential clinics, on the acquisition of Winton House, a former care home site at Nether Wallop, Stockbridge, Hampshire from Amesbury Abbey Limited.

The Winton House site comprises 10.23 acres comprising the main house, converted stables, garaging and outbuildings and provides accommodation across 25,572 sq ft, surrounded by attractive parkland and formal gardens.

Learn 2 Live Youth Clinic will be using this former care site to provide a much-needed residential programme aimed at supporting 14-18 year olds who have been diagnosed with mental ill-health. The ten-week programme offers comprehensive treatment for teenagers and support for their families as they learn to live healthier and happier lives.

Much-needed specialised mental health care to the area

The site is situated in a prominent, well-connected location, with convenient access to the M3 and A303 as well as regular direct rail services to London Waterloo.

Anna-Louise Cawood, Founder and CEO of Learn 2 Live Youth Clinic said: “We are delighted to have completed the acquisition of the site in Stockbridge, Hampshire. This location provides a perfect combination of natural beauty and peace, free from outside distractions allowing residents to focus on their recovery. We have been impressed with the succinct and swift manner by which Mandip Bhogal at Knight Frank has supported us in completing the acquisition of this important development.”

Mandip Bhogal, Partner, Healthcare at Knight Frank, said: “We were pleased to advise Learn 2 Live in their acquisition of Winton House, providing much-needed specialised mental health care to the area. Since the pandemic, the necessity for tailored programmes such as this, especially for young people is more clear than ever before.”

Winton House is a Grade II listed country house which was designed by Winchester based architect, Owen Browne Carter who designed a number of public buildings including The Corn Exchange and several townhouses and estates. Winton House was established as a care home in 1972 by way of a sympathetic conversion of the main house. The accommodation was later extended in the early 2000s.

Learn 2 Live Youth Clinic Ltd was advised by Knight Frank and Amesbury Abbey Limited was advised by Savills.
