Turkey offers some excellent prospects for international investors looking to add to their property portfolios, it has been suggested.
Mark Wilson, product acquisition manager at international property portal Propertyshowrooms.com, said the country has long been a popular and "fresh" market because of its Mediterranean location, growing cities and new development.
In terms of the investment possibilities, Mr Wilson stated: "Turkey has a lot of potential, in terms of location, flights and infrastructure."
He added that as well as the offerings provided by its holiday resorts, "cities like Istanbul are proving to be popular with investors".
Investors Provident is one of the firms that has predicted a strong performance for the Turkish market in the next few years due to its candidacy for European Union membership.
Mark Harrop of New Turkish Properties recently told Homes Worldwide that property prices in the country rose by 40 per cent in 2007.
